Default Peformance running twinview

We have a Dell WS670 workstation with the FX3400 board. We hookup up both a Dell 19" and Dell 20" LCD monitors with twinview. We have noticed running applications that the graphics performance is much slower running under twinview than with just with the 19" LCD. Is the normal?? We see a degradation running the Tecplot 10.6 program under 64 bit linux. Any information anyone can provide would be appreciated.
