Hi all,
I own an Asus A8N-VM motherboard, this is based on nforce4 and has embedded GeForce 6100 video. I installed a SuSe 10.1 distribution, based on kernel 2.6.16 Since the lan hangs and the audio doesn't work, I've decided to install the drivers from nvidia. The X drivers was installed smoothly, and it works great, but there's no way to install audio and lan drivers. The file that I've taken is: NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1.run The installation is aborted during the compilation of the driver itself, it says that there's a syntax problem in module main.c A deeper analisys seems to point to a different macro definition in some kernel headers. Did anyone succeed installing the drivers on the latest kernels? Is nVidia releasing an updated version of the drivers? Thanks in advance and best regards, /Claudio. |
