Since the last beta's the game gets a much better frame rate. Still a fast CPU and 512 megs of ram helps a lot. You can now shoot out lights, although it takes a couple of shots sometimes to make them to go out.

If you do download it, download All Seeing Eye and use that for the game server browser. It works a lot better to find servers.

Aside from the shiny surfaces due to the bump mapping, this game still plays like it's in beta. Bad animations, horrible looking weapons, and it's just not fun.

it "fixed" itself after a while then went to crap again...

but overall, this game is not worth any of your time, the "feel" of the game just plain sucked...

I actually think this is a great game to play. I don't have any errors, glitches, bugs or anything. It playes well with a good frame rate and 4xAA and 16xAF on.

But hey, they do say it's a game which was developed on ATi hardware (they thank ATi in the credit list and not nVidia), so it takes full advantage of TruForm and Pixelshader 1.4. I'm glad I own a 9700Pro because it looks amazing. And yes, you do need a good processor too with loads of memory.

It's just that they build this game around the latest technology and they didn't want to be limited by keeping 'older' computers in mind. So there you have it. NWO is a game that requires one brick of a powerhouse.

Anyway, I live in Europe and I bought the full version yesterday for €19,95 (that should be around $17,00 now). It was in the 50% sales department. Isn't this funny? It just got released in the US and you have to pay the full price, and if you live in Europe you can already purchase it for half the price.

I couldn't leave it standing there for that price.
