All the servers I've tried are crap-laggy. But when I run my own server it runs well hehe. Here's hoping these guys are patch-masters.

Man, at least wait until the GeForce FX 5200's are available. They should be quite cheap (non-Ultra's should be under $100 retail, possibly as low as $79 retail).

I might. I was supposed to actually upgrade the thing a long time ago, and my bro was gonna buy the vidcard <g>
I can get a 4mx for $60 with shipping, so hey. It's cheap. As to the gffx5200...well, with new hardware I believe 'cheap' when I see it, lets put it that way.

Well, remember, the 5200 is nVidia's replacement for at least part of the GeForce4 MX line (there are many different versions of this line).

It should perform similarly to a GeForce3 in current games with FSAA enabled (probably a little bit higher), and will perform much better than a GF3 in future games like DOOM3 (and, conversely, far, far better than a GF4 MX).

I would generally expect that you could find a 5200 (non-Ultra) for about $90 with shipping right after initial availability (which is supposed to be within a month, I believe).

Just read this over at VE3D if anyone is interseted:

Quote:
Digitalo is working on a patch which will address most of the technical, gameplay, and audio issues that have been reported in the Devastation MP Demo within the past eighteen hours. It's a little too soon to construct a valid ETA yet, but rest assured that the team is thoroughly committed to this, and will work as fast as they can to resolve as much as possible, as quickly as possible, for all versions of the game, demo and retail.

Go dl the patch if you have the demo http://www.devastationgaming.com/
