Does GeForce 6800 cards can boot to windows and detect my monitor even if I don't plug the 4 pin molex into ?

nope. pretty sure it will not. Never tried it because I don't like screwing up my cards.

Yes, It will work. The only problem is that it would automatically downclock due to insufficient power.

my 6800GT has 2 power connectors one label primary and the other secondry. I have the primary hooked up but wondered if i could get better stability/overclockability if i hooiked up the second one in tandom. your thoughts guys?
