Default Screen moved left

After installing an NV.8762 driver under VL5.1 kernel 2.6.13. successfully, I experienced that
- my GeForce FX5600XT card is recognised as SE
- the screen has moved to the left

the xorg.conf file has the data of the Samsung Synck Master 172s correctly.

where can I get info about the different options of the Nvidia card?

Thanx!

Are you asking about the features of the hardware, or the options for the X driver?

The X driver's options are documented in its README.

I'm not clear on what you mean by "I'd like my screen centered again". How can this problem be reproduced? Please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log.

As for hardware specs, that information is provided with the videocard that you purchased.

Thanks,
Lonni

Centered: the screen is moved to the left, thus I have a blank strip on the right edge of the display, black, on the left a strip is out of the display. Just like when You move the screen left on Your display...

OK. I look around to send the nvidia-bug-report - if I can.

reproduction is simple:
I installed the Nvidia installer - following the Vector Linux forum's How to install Nvidia drivers -, and when the installation was successful, I restarted X.
Before installation I had to rename nvidiafb.ko in ints path and boot the system because that module stopped the installer. That is all.
On Vector 5.1 I use the original 2.6.13 kernel.

You could just change the settings on your monitor. Press the menu button and search for the HPos option and change that. Also, my Samsung (a 730B) has an auto adjustment button. If yours does too, just press that and the proplem should be fixed.
