Default Next release?

Hi,

How can we find out when a new release will be coming out? Is there a mailing list I can sign up for somewhere?

I would also like to know if the next nvidia-agp will support the Intel 945 PCI bridge? Would that be included in the next release's release notes?

You can't find out when a new release is coming out. It'll be out when they decide it's ready.

You can check on this forum. Few first topics on this forum are sticky and some of them has current driver version number. I also visit Nvidia Linux driver page.

Nvidia could make for us RSS driver update channel as ATI has. Companies should sometimes look around what competition do. I do not think that noticing users about new driver release using RSS technology is patented. I will drop a suggestion to Nvidia webmaster.

Update: I could not find Nvidia webmaster e-mail so there is no contact.

You could also look at:

He probably uses Outlook, Frontpage, and other MS products. Wouldn't get very far there.

zander, the links are down.

Maybe think he is the smartest guy and does not need any feedback about website. This is nice site but there is always room for improvement. Like RSS for example. If he afraids of spam he can use web form or place e-mail as picture.

links are up - just click on them and you'll see:
1.0-8762 1.0-8762/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8762-pkg1.run

in the upper left corner. Not so impressive as RSS but better than digging thru website. If all people here will add to bookmarks and check so often like me there can happen accidental DoS attack on FTP.

The more safe method is http, and this link is more detailed:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html

I saw some kind of mailing list that should inform me about driver updates etc. at nvidia.com, buf after signing up the only stuff I got was SPAM (commercial offers from nVidia)... so i had to unregister.
