XGL not working with 16 bit colordepth?
Hi there,
finally I got XGL working on a Dell C840 Laptop, but .... ... if I want to switch the colordepth to 16 bit Xgl gets broken. In fact I can log in, but all icons look scrambled, the X server restarts, if I try to click on something, the desktopbackground is scrambled and so on. With 24 bit everything is just fine. So is there any solution for 16 bit? Should Xgl work with 16 bit? I need the 16 bit colordepth because of a legacy program which will not work with 24 bit colordepth. Thanks in advance Frank |
