When running 1280x720 on my plasma, the deskop hangs off the edges on all 4 sides. Is there a way to shrink the desktop ever so slightly so that it will fit without changing the resolution? Kind of like an "underscan" feature?
If I recall, something like this can be done under windows. |

Are you using TV-OUT or a VGA/DVI connection?
With the latter, you can decrease the resolution a little, keeping the horizontal resolution a multiple of 8. Then shift it until it is at the center of the screen. Do this by first generating a modeline, if you don't already have it. Then tweak the second and sixth number for the resolution. |
