Default Poor java swing performance on FC5

Hi,

when using java applications with swing UI on my Fedora Core 5 (hardware: Dell Latitude D820 notebook, NVidia Quadro NVS 110M graphics card) the applications react *very* slow on any user input (opening dialogs, resizing panels, opening menus etc.). I think this is due to the livna nvidia drivers I use:

kmod-nvidia-smp-1.0.8762-2.2.6.17_1.2157_FC5
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-1.0.8762-3.lvn5

When I deinstall these two packages and use the original xorg nvidia driver that comes with FC5, java apps are much faster. The downside is that I cannot use dual-head mode with xinerama enabled on my machine.

Did anyone else experience such problems with java apps? Does anyone have a solution?

Greets
Martin

Please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log along with instructions on how this can be reproduced.

Thanks,
