Default Windows Live Messenger

You know i like this app and messenger but it likes to popup alot of messeges. Whats a good way to stop the popups on this program?

I would be watching tv or dvd or starting a game and this thing is popping up in the corner on my screen.

What do you mean by popping up? Like the message that someone has signed in? If that's the case go into tools > options > alerts and sounds and uncheck all the boxes

Yep Apatch is AWESOME! Just be careful what you select. After a while I tried to back it out but it doesn't back out well. I thought I had made backups but when I went to restore it said there was none. End result, had to de-install and re-install Messenger.
