Flat Panel switching off with 4349 drivers

Updated from the 4191 drivers to the latest 4349 ones, and hit a brick wall. On starting X, my Dell 1701FP switches off, and the system has to be hard reset to get back to login prompt.

Still learning Linux, so may be an O/S issue, but not seeing the problem with 4191.

Dell Precision 530 (Dual 2.8Ghz), 1GB Ram, Quadro4 700GLX Video (64MB) with Dell 1701 Flat Panel - Digital connection.

Running Red Hat 8.0 custom kernel with Win4Lin

Please post a /var/log/XFree86.0.log that shows a failing run.
