Hi,
I am trying to install the drivers for a GF 6200 PCI express card on a SUSE 10 OS. This procedure is supposed to be straight forward. I have done the installation using the YOU of suse as it is suggested on the corresponding NVIDIA site. As far as I understand installation is done automatically. However, I have not observed any improvement on the graphics acceleration and I cannot configure any graphics settings such as resolution, frequency etc.... Below I present the nvidia-installer.log: ================================================ nvidia-installer log file '/var/log/nvidia-installer.log' creation time: Mon Aug 7 15:03:08 2006 option status: license pre-accepted : true update : false force update : false expert : false uninstall : false driver info : false no precompiled interface: false no ncurses color : false query latest driver ver : false OpenGL header files : true no questions : true silent : true no backup : false kernel module only : false sanity : false add this kernel : false no runlevel check : false no network : false no ABI note : false no RPMs : false force tls : (not specified) force compat32 tls : (not specified) X install prefix : /usr/X11R6 OpenGL install prefix : /usr compat32 install prefix : (not specified) installer install prefix: /usr utility install prefix : /usr kernel name : (not specified) kernel include path : (not specified) kernel source path : (not specified) kernel output path : (not specified) kernel install path : (not specified) proc mount point : /proc ui : none tmpdir : /tmp ftp mirror : ftp://download.nvidia.com RPM file list : (not specified) Using built-in stream user interface -> License accepted by command line option. -> A precompiled kernel interface for kernel '2.6.13-15-default' has been found here: /lib/modules/precompiled/2.6.13-15-default/nvidia/gfx//nv-linux.o-1.0-7676.p re. executing: 'cd ./usr/src/nv; /usr/bin/ld -d -r -o nvidia.ko precompiled-nv-l inux.o nv-kernel.o'... -> Kernel module linked successfully. -> Installing both new and classic TLS OpenGL libraries. -> Installing both new and classic TLS 32bit OpenGL libraries. -> Install NVIDIA's 32bit compatibility OpenGL libraries? On SuSE Linux/United Linux please use SaX2 now to enable the NVIDIA driver. ================================================== ============= What is the problem? Panagiotis |

Did you update the Xorg configuration file to use the NVIDIA Linux graphics driver? If not, please see http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...hapter-03.html for more information. For SuSE specific installation instructions, please see http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-...ler-HOWTO.html.
