In my TV, the first thing happening behind the DVI input is converting digital to analog! Then the analog RGB is fed into the switch matrix where the selection between the different inputs is made (SCARTs, VGA, "DVI", Color decoder, Teletext etc), and after the matrix it is converted to digital again. Further issues, like the levels used for black and saturated on DVI (two options possible) can mean more trouble. |
