Default Modeline for 1724x486 not working in 8762

I have been a user of MythDora 2.1 for since it has been out. I have been very happy with it. It was the first install that worked with my GeForce 6200 and my Panasonic HDTV. It uses 7676 drivers with Xorg.

I tried installing MythDora 2.32 when it came out on a new harddrive I had to keep by 2.1 install untouched until I could get it up and running. Well, I tried then and couldn't get my HDTV resolutions working. I gave up, but just came back to try again. 2.32 moved to newer Xorg version and 8762 drivers.

With the exact same xorg.conf file in both installs, 2.1 works fine with my 1728x486 mode, but 2.32 says it won't work and uses another 720x480 mode that is available.

Here is my xorg.conf file, used for both MythDora 2.1 (7676) and MythDora 2.32 (8762)

So, I am at a loss. I figure that this has something to do with EDID changes between 7676 and 8762, but I tried several combinations without luck.

Anyone have thoughts?

Default Re: Modeline for 1724x486 not working in 8762

Unless you're using an explicit modeline or the EDID in your display includes 1724x486, you cannot use 1724x486.

If you have further questions or problems, please start X with the following command:
startx -- -logverbose 6

and then generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log.

Thanks,
Lonni
