Default high load under 2D

I have now an albtron 6600GT, with an temperature controlled fan (as it seems).

wgen i start the system, it's relaively silent, but even after a few hours of 2D workload the bastard gets loud as hell ...

still the core temperature is only 45C...

is there any possibilty to get this thing silent (in 2D) ?

i don't care about loudness in 3D.

You could use nvclock to adjust the fanspeed of the card though it is at your own risk.
