Default Can't get resolution lower than 1280x1024

Hi
I have FC5 kernel 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5smp running on a Toshiba M5 and using 8774 version of the nvidia driver. Most things seem to be working fine except that I can't get a screen resolution of anything less than 1280x1024.

I have attahced nvidia-bug-report-log any help would be welcome

Thanks in advance

Please start X with the following command:
startx -- -logverbose 6

and then generate and post a new bug report.

Thanks,
Lonni

Zip the log, and you can attach it here.

According to the EDID in your bug report, the only supported native mode is 1400x1050@60 Hz.

It looks like there are a few non-native modes listed in the X log of your bug report that you could attempt to use, however its unclear how well they would work:
(II) NVIDIA(0): --- Modes in ModePool for Toshiba Internal Panel (DFP-0) ---
(II) NVIDIA(0): "nvidia-auto-select" : 1400 x 1050 @ 60.0 Hz (from: EDID)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "1400x1050" : 1400 x 1050 @ 60.0 Hz (from: EDID)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "1400x1050_60" : 1400 x 1050 @ 60.0 Hz (from: EDID)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "1280x1024" : 1280 x 1024 @ 60.0 Hz (from: X Server, VESA)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "1280x1024_60" : 1280 x 1024 @ 60.0 Hz (from: X Server, VESA)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "840x525" : 840 x 525 @ 60.1 Hz DoubleScan (from: X Server)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "840x525d60" : 840 x 525 @ 60.1 Hz DoubleScan (from: X Server)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "700x525" : 700 x 525 @ 60.0 Hz DoubleScan (from: X Server)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "700x525d60" : 700 x 525 @ 60.0 Hz DoubleScan (from: X Server)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "640x512" : 640 x 512 @ 60.0 Hz DoubleScan (from: X Server)
(II) NVIDIA(0): "640x512d60" : 640 x 512 @ 60.0 Hz DoubleScan (from: X Server)

Thanks,
Lonni
