I have a working TwinView setup with two monitors, and I'm trying to also get TV out working on a separate X screen. I followed the guide at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...t=dual+monitor , which basically adds new Screen, Device, and Monitor sections for the TV.
Here's the part of my Xorg.0.log file where things go wrong: Quote:

Hm after reading some more it sounds like the nvidia drivers can't do what I'm trying to do.
But if anyone knows how I can use a TV and two 1600x1200 monitors simultaneously I'd love to know. |

This is not possible. The NVIDIA X driver supports a maximum of two displays per GPU. You'll need another GPU for 3 displays.
Thanks, Lonni |

netllama, is that also true for the Windows drivers? Also, do you know of any GPUs that allow 3 with X?

Yes, its true for Windows as well. I can't comment on competitor's products.
Thanks, Lonni |

Thanks much for the quick response! I did mean to be asking about NVIDIA GPUs, so I take that to mean all NVIDIA GPUs are limited to two displays (I had always wondered that). Thank you again!
