Default Resolution at TV(Using Component Out)

I have my computer set up via Component Out, finally got it to work, but the resolution is still messed up.

I run the server with -- -logverbose 6, so enjoy, also, it is in 2 parts.

here is the small version of my xorg.conf:

Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "tv"
Screen "TV" 0 0
InputDevice "Mouse0" "CorePointer"
InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection

Section "ServerFlags"
Option "DefaultServerLayout" "tv"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "TV"
VendorName "ViewSonic"
ModelName "N3260W"
DisplaySize 370 300
HorizSync 30.0 - 70.0
VertRefresh 50.0 - 85.0
ModeLine "1080i" 74.5 1920 1952 2016 2208 1080 1084 1096 1126 -hsync -vsync interlace
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "second"
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "nVidia"
BoardName "nVidia GeForce 7900GT"
BusID "PCI:5:0:0"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
Identifier "TV"
Device "second"
Monitor "TV"

Option "MetaModes" "1080i"
Option "TVStandard" "HD1080i"
Option "NoLogo" "true"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV-0"

SubSection "Display"
#Modes "1080i" #"1280x1024"
EndSubSection
EndSection
I think I have done some mistake in the xorg.conf, but I am lost , thanks for all the help

You didn't explain what "the resolution is still messed up" means, so I'm not really clear what problem you're trying to resolve.

As is documented in your verbose X log, the acceptable modes are basically hardcoded into the driver when using TV-Out, so you can't specify a custom modeline. You need to choose from the available modes listed in the "Modes in ModePool for NVIDIA TV Encoder (TV-0)" section. My best guess is that you want to request a 1920x1080 mode rather than your 1080i modeline.

Also, is there a reason why you're specifying a MetaMode if you're not using Twinview?

Thanks,
Lonni

But now I have another problem, the Picture is to big for my screen

Anyidea how I fix this?

This is normal for a TV. It is called Overscan.

No problem when you watch movies. When you wanted to use the TV as a monitor, it can be annoying.

Is it possible to fix it? like a secret trick or something?

I have tried the Overscan option, but there was no change whatsoever...
