Question Random crashes when switching back from DISPLAY=:1 to DISPLAY=:0

Hi all,

I wanted to get my tv-out working yesterday, so I installed the nvidia binary drivers. My setup looks like this: I got two different server layouts, one for CRT and one for TV. Default is to use CRT. Now I got a konqueror service menu "Play an TV", so I can just right click a video file and select it. Then another display session is started, the CRT blanks, the TV gets the video through mplayer.

But when the movie has ended it often happens that the computer crashes when trying to switch back to DISPLAY=:0.

Any idea what I can do about it?

Default Re: Random crashes when switching back from DISPLAY=:1 to DISPLAY=:0

Hi again,

I searched the forum a bit more intensely and apparently there are already threads with the same problem, like here for instance. That's the latest one, last reply was 05-15-06.

So consider this one closed.

Regards
