Unhappy Homemade waffles, blood in me sinus', and 18 days of hell ahead.

On the brightside, I've FINALLY mastered the waffle-iron and me kids are munching down some of the tastiest waffles they've ever had in their lives. (They told me so, they're even better than the ones at DisneyWorld shaped like Mickey Mouse! I think the trick is I use a tad more powdered sugar.. ) The trick is in prepping the iron, I finally bought some lard and did it proper last night. (Messy, but worth it.)

I got something busted in me head this morning and the taste/smell of blood is constantly with me and it's driving me a bit batty, I think I either have a sinus infection or a cold but it's making me naseus. (Sorry for being all gross, but it's a new one for me and bugging me.)

And lastly, my daughter completed her first semester of 1/2 day pre-school yesterday and will be starting full time in the fall semester which starts Aug 25th and me son finished up the local summer camp program last week too and doesn't start first grade until Aug 20th....so I gots them all to me lonesome for 18 days that I get to fill with fun for 'em.

It's gonna be me hellrun to end all hellruns, but there is a HUGE light at the end of the tunnel for me with it: they're BOTH going to be going to school and I will have a bit of time to meself for the first time in about 4 years.

So since I was all wiggy last night from about a week and a half solid with me children me wife decided to give me the evening off and today to get me head all unwound. Last night worked out pretty good, but my son got me up at 6 this morning for some unknown reason and didn't want to go back to bed....so I've been up with both of 'em for the last 3 hours making waffles and cleaning me living room while my wife sleeps. (Ain't I nice? )

Then I had to whine about it, so I posted.

I come to whine about it sometimes, but at least I spelled it out clearly in the thread title and put it in the right forum!

Funny thing now, when I feel the need to rant I never know quite where to do it at anymore. I used to do it pretty much only at DH, but I've been feeling a bit distanced from 'em lately. R3D is usually my stomping grounds when I'm in a ranty/whiny mood, but it's going thru a bit of a silly season in their OT right now (again ). I'd do it at EB, but everyone at EB pretty much knows what's going on with me right now and how I react to it so it'd be kind of redundant.

But nVnews has been bouncing nicely lately, it's got just the right balance of argument/animosity in a friendly way that it just seemed right somehow.

The wife is still sleeping, the kids are still eating waffles and re-watching Nicktoons Friday Night. (It was all new last night, good ones too! ) It stormed like a mofo here last night so the ground is soaked & muddy, and I have NO CLUE what I'm gonna do today yet.

Hmmm....I wonder if Grandma is free....

That's sure picturesque. A model for what all families should be.

I envy you dig! All besides the sinus part anyway.

Yeah, just a typical suburbian family unit.

My three year old daughter just got honked at me that "Mickey Mouse's Preschool" wouldn't run on her 'puter Babs (see sig) since she's totally hosed the OS install thru her "learning windows" activities. (It's been kind of a running battle just to keep her PC running, she likes to delete directories and play around in Explorerer a LOT. I can't even count the number of times she's changed her display adapter all by herself. Never to the correct one mind ya, but she does like to change 'em... )

Today I gave in, I decided to re-install 98se. Not a full install, I'm just running set-up on top of the mish-mash she's got right now in a kind of "let's see what happens" type of hope. I'm figuring I should at least be able to get the network back... (Besides, I'm gonna be building her a new rig pretty soon so I don't want to waste a lot of effort on it now. )

She's happily taken over me son's computer Boomer to play on while she waits, she's playing his & my current favorite game "Airfix Dogfight" a gem of an older game that I recently got and quickly fell in love with....and so did me 6 year old son! Funny thing is, he's actually getting pretty good. We're going to do a networked game of it either today or tomorrow....

Gotta run. I just dis-assembled the little tykes house that was me daughter's PC room in her bedroom and gotta move it out of the hallway and into the basement, then I gotta start vaccuming.

Mom-thing fun, gotta love it. (18 days, only 18 more days... )

Yeah, I just sit in front of the computer everyday eating bon-bons.

Me posting is me way of staying relatively sane and takes very little of me time, I type about a bazillion words a minute and I got four computers in me house that I post from.

If'n you think taking care of a house, two kids, and a wife isn't working than I'm afraid you ain't got a clue and you really need to ask your mother about it some time.....and thank her while you're at it.

Speaking of sinus infections, I get a sinus infection every time I get a cold unless I load up on these goofy ass decongestants. These same decongestants have the effect of like 4 cups of coffee each. And I have to take four a day.

It's pretty cool.

Anyway, waffles win.

Im not insulting, I just asked a question, it was posted at the [H] Forums that Digi had no job and just sat at home and watched his kids while his wife had a job and did the cleaning and cooking. I thought it was true for awhile there, so I wanted to ask Digi himself.

Digi isnt lazy, its just that he and his wife switched positions, his wife works and Digi does the housework, a rarity in america these days.

(Sorry Digi, I got caught up in the suck Kyle Bennetes ass train for awhile there)

I'm not a mod in open forum, but I will say this:

There's ways other than your "i think you need help" post to figure out what you wanted to know... definitely.

just be careful with stuff like that. This thread probably wasn't intended to be a "pick digi apart" thread.

....so... hows them sinuses?
