Answer for yesterdays:
For the hands position of a clock with a blank face always to amek sense, the clock must be set up so that at some point in the course of twelve hourse, both hands point vetically upwards at the same time. Since the minute-hand and the hour-hand cover each other eleven times in a period of twelve hours, the clock must have eleven sides.

Todays:
As a child, I liked to play behind my parents' house in an old gravel pit that had been closed down. Playing there was strictly forbidde, but who cared? In the course of the years, rainwater had gathered in the pit, and a pretty little pond had been created, which was perfect for swimming. All around the gravel pit were pine trees, birch trees, and junipers and some small sand hills. It was an ideal playground for he kids in the neighborhood, and I spent countless afternoons there, often coming home at dusk wiht torn and dirty patns and sweaters.
Many years later, when visitng my hometown, I went to our old gravel pit on a Sunday afternoon. How it had changed--I hardly recognized it! The city had bought the land and turned it into a small park. The landscyape architect must have been a lover of geometrical shapes, because he had turned the gravel pit into a square park. All around the pond were small patches of lawn, flower eds, and groups of trees. A path cut through them, circling the pond and touching the four sides of the park limits at the their central points.
It seemed to me that the pond was much bigger than it had been when it was a gravel pit, but I'm not good at estimating such things. I only knew that the entire park, including the pond, covered an area of four acres.
Can you figure out how big the pond was?

Note: Please post your answers. Only MaxPower did yesterday.

.79 sounds too low... If the pond is an area that is a complete circle just within the boundaries of a 4 acre square...hmmm...where's my old geometry book. I'll make a SWAG of 2.25 acres

Looks like I may have read it incorrectly...I thought that the 4 acres was within the "black" square area alone.
