Ok now HD-DVD has been launched and Amazon now put up HD-DVD and Blu-ray titles SRP List price and their price below.
14 HD-DVD titles Doom (MCA Home Video) SRP $34.98 Amazon $24.49 Serenity (MCA Home Video) SRP $34.98 Amazon $24.49 Van Helsing (Universal) SRP $34.98 Amazon $23.99 The Bourne Supremacy (Universal) SRP $34.98 Amazon $23.99 The Chronicles of Riddick (Universal) SRP $34.98 Amazon $23.99 U-571 (Universal) SRP $34.98 Amazon $23.99 Jarhead (Universal) SRP $34.98 Amazon $23.99 Assault on Precinct 13 (Universal) SRP $34.98 Amazon $23.99 Million Dollar Baby (Warner Home Video) SRP $28.99 Amazon $19.98 Cinderella Man (Universal) SRP $34.98 Amazon $23.99 The Last Samurai (Warner Home Video) SRP $28.99 Amazon $19.98 The Phantom of the Opera (Special Edition) (Warner Home Video) SRP $28.99 Amazon $19.98 Apollo 13 (Warner Home Video) SRP $34.98 Amazon $24.49 Chronos (R&B Films) SRP $24.98 Amazon $16.99 21 Blu-ray titles The Fifth Element (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 Terminator 2: Judgment Day (MGM) SRP $29.99 Amazon $20.99 Crash (Lions Gate) SRP $39.99 Amazon $27.99 Resident Evil - Apocalypse (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 Underworld - Evolution (Sony Pictures) SRP $38.95 Amazon $27.29 House of Flying Daggers (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 XXX (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 Sealth (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 The Punisher (Lions Gate) SRP $29.99 Amazon $20.99 Lord of War (Lions Gate) SRP $39.99 Amazon $27.99 Legends of the Fall (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 Kung Fu Hustle (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 Hitch (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 50 First Dates (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 A Knight's Tale (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $20.29 Terminator (MGM) SRP $28.95 Amazon $19.99 Saw (Lions Gate) SRP $29.99 Amazon $20.99 Robocop (MGM) SRP $28.95 Amazon $19.99 Species (MGM) SRP $28.95 Amazon $19.99 SWAT (Sony Pictures) SRP $28.95 Amazon $19.99 Chronos (R&B Films) SRP $24.98 Amazon $16.99 Blu-ray is the clear winner on low price for new releases. The average HD-DVD SRP and Amazon price for new releases are $34.98 and $23.99 compared to Blu-ray's $28.95 SRP and $20.29 Amazon price. Here probably a few reasons why HD-DVD titles cost more than Blu-ray could be that HD-DVD cases are large than DVD case and expensive to make and paper prints. Also HD-DVD's 15GB probably cost more per gigabyte than Blu-ray 25GB. Blu-ray now look very tempting, I think alots of HD-DVD backers will backed out to jump to Blu-ray soon because of HD-DVD average titles high prices as Blu-ray offer it $6 cheaper. I think Blu-ray will be the next format to replace DVD alot sooner than you think.

If Blu-Ray wins, I guess I'll never have any sort of HD movie content because, since the rootkit fiasco, I refuse to buy Sony products anymore.

Why do people keep on insisting that Blu-Ray is made or in anyway controlled by Sony? Sony is nothing more then a member of the group of developers responsible for the technology and also just one of the most outspoken ones.
I guess you shouldn't buy Blu-Ray also since Apple has something to do with it, I mean they have such few software for their iMacs. Oh and don't get it because HP is part of it aswell, we all know how crappy HP PCs are when compared to DELL... oh wait DELL is also part of the group... DAM! Heck, Why not say you wont buy it because you are an Nvidia supporter and ATI is backing Blu-Ray... oh wait so is Nvidia. Don't worry you can always blame it on EA! ![]()

Unless someone figures out this HDCP fiasco I refuse to purchase Blue-Ghey or HD-DVD_DRM. I'm certainly not going to purchase another plasma monitor because my 42" doesn't support HDCP. Early HDTV adopters get screwed; I'll watch HD content OTA/DirecTV and just learn to live with 480P DVDs.
