I've noticed a distinct absence of man's best friend in this forum.
Time to set it right. Post a pic or say something about your dog. I'm sure we all will appreciate it. I have a foxterrier named Snoopy. He is sixteen years old. On his gravestone (in the distant future) I will put the letter S on it, for Snoopy IS Superdog. He was a dog that could hold his own against Alsations. He isn't one of those wire-haired stiff legged mutts with a uniform-sized muzzle but rather a superb athlete of perfect proportions. When he was younger his muscles would ripple as he walked just like race horse's. He was top dog to most of the bitches in the neighbourhood and sired many pups. Unfortunately he's quite old now and not as robust as he once was. But he is still young at heart.

Mine's a pit bull female named KC (which stands for Killer Canine) that's 5-1/2.
She's an absolute sweetheart and loves people. She even smiles when you meet her, though people who don't understand what she's doing freak out some because all they see are bared teeth. Her fur is almost completely white with the exception of a few brown spots on the tips of her ears and a black spot over one eye. She has a bunch of black spots on her skin that show through to her fur so a lot of people think she's a Dalmation. She was the cutest little puppy you ever saw: ![]() My wife and I don't have any children of our own (My son is from my first wife), so KC is our child and she's treated better than most kids.

I had a chocolate Lab puppy named Chewie, she was the smartest pup I had ever seen. She died of Parvo or something when she was young.....I still reallly miss her.

And yes I'm aware I left that wide open, lest someone wants to add to the above ![]() Oh, and I had a dog, who's picture I had posted to the forums earlier. She had to be put to sleep several years ago. Patches had gone deaf (didn't know this could happen with dogs), blind, and would whine when people were right there cause she couldn't percieve them anymore. Also had difficulty standing, and might have come to the point of having difficulty eating. She was 16 years old at the time (which is a long time, though not unheard of with German Short Haired Pointers). My mother hadn't even told me, until about 6 months or so after the fact, she was like "oh and by the way we put Patches to sleep" somewhat casually and in passing... I had gone away to school about 7 or 8 years before then... |

We have 3 dogs. The first is a pound pup. Her name is Missy. She is part German Shepher, part "lassie-dog", and then either Husky, Alaskan Malamute, or even wolf. To make it simple, let's just say she's a heinze-57.
She has been about as good a dog as a dog can be. We have NEVER had an obedience problem with her. And she practically learned our commands instantly. Heck, she is so obedient we NEVER walk her on a leash. She stops when told, stays when told, and will even turn left or right when told. She's about 11yrs. old now and has arthritis. But she is still spunky as ever. She never tires of playing. I'm sure gonna' cry like a big baby when she goes... ![]() The other dog, his name is Teddy Bear. He is a AKC Registered male pomeranian- and an obnoxiously lovable little guy. He is about the cutest dog and prettiest dog but barks like there is no tomorrow- and he isn't the most obedient dog out there. Though, more often than not (barely), he obeys. He is about 4 years old now. Then, the youngest of them all is my mom's dog. Her name is Chakeetah (means "My little one") and she is a Chuahua Doxie mix. She is just 2 years old and is also extremely pretty and cute. In regards to obedience and intelligence, she comes in just behind our bigger dog Missy. Both Chakeeta and Missy are extremely wonderfull around kids but they are slow to trust strange adults. Both dogs would sooner die trying to defend us then they'd trust a strange adult- the pomeranian (T-Bear) would sooner start humping your ankle than he'd attack you ( no Gib, you can't have him ).Over all, I love all our dogs, though I'd have to say Missy is #1, Chakeeta is 2nd, and the Pom belongs in the meat grinder. ![]()
