Only thing that keeps on pissing me off about media in the US regarding Chechnya is that they keep on calling them rebels; they are not rebels they are terrorists.

The people taking hostages and killing civillians are terrorists. The rest of them fighting the Russian army are rebels. The situation in Chechnya amounts to a mini civil war.

Agreed.

Those who kill soldiers or government officials are rebels/freedom fighters. Those who kill civilians are terrorists.

Hamas and Hezbollah have been kllling soldiers recently and the IDF has been killing civilians in bombing raids.

Are you ignoring the continuous cross border rocket attacks by Hezbollah and other Palestinian groups because you are ignorant they are happening, or because your insinuation that Hezbollah is not a terrorist group would fail if you mentioned it, so you pretend it is not happening?

Don't forget that an Israeli civillian was also kidnapped and murdered by Hamas. Also, as Cybr pointed out, both terrorist organizations continuously launch mortar and rocket attacks against Israeli cities - these target random civillians, not military installations.
