Default North Korea attacks South Korea!

Quote:
SEOUL, South Korea — Soldiers from North Korea and South Korea exchanged fire along their border late Monday, but no one was hurt, a South Korean military official said Tuesday.

The incident happened shortly before sunset when North Korean soldiers fired two bullets toward a South Korean guard post in the eastern part of the Demilitarized Zone, said Maj. Kim Tae-hoon of the Joint Chiefs of Staff office.

South Korean soldiers immediately fired back six rounds, Kim said.

He said South Korea doesn't know what prompted the North troops to open fire and the secretive communist country hasn't said anything to the South about it.

Shouldn't there be something done about cross border attacks before the South decides they need to invade the North to stop it?

Well lets hope this doesn't get any bigger or it will make the middle east conflict look like a spit fight. N.Korea and S. Korea, Ethiopia and Somalia. What the hell? People make sure you have alot of water and canned foods in your basement.

this happens all the time. There was a slaughter in the DM back in the 80s. The PDK hacked to death american soldiers. You can't have weapons in there so they hacked em up.

I was there 85-86, the war between the north and south has never stopped. It's just been scaled way, way back. Point being with a nut like lil kim over there the situation always bears watching, but atm it's nothing now that it wasn't then.

execute the soldiers who exchanged shots, all of them. there should be no tolerance for those types of actions.

its idiots like that that cause wars over nothing. kind of like how WWI started with one incident.

You could get some really nice stuff, clothing mostly, off base. If you found a good tailor who used good material you got super quality and a great fitfor pennies on the dollar. S.Koreans were some great people to visit and get to know also. I still kind of miss being there.

The guy shooting back at people shooting at him should not be executed...but the one who started the shooting should be.

Depends on the circumstances. The R.O.K. army, actually their whole military are pretty dead serious about infractions. I've personally witnessed what an officer can put a non-com through for "screwing up".
