I just got a bfg oc 8800gts 320 meg video card and noticed on the nvidia ntune monitor that my video card temp is 98 celcius. Could this be a "false reading" because that seams way to hot ?

I would download ati tool and get a second opinion on that one. Mine goes up to 85 under full load but thats only because I screwed up the stock cooling. Ntune is garbage for me personally it locks my rig up enough to have to reboot.

ntune messed up reading mine. It said it was 53c at all times.
Now I use ATI tool. with the fan increased to 85% I idle around 51 and hit mid 60's under load
