Nvidia still makes (the best) AMD chipsets. I don't think any of the big companies are going to cut all ties to each other just to hurt "the other guy".
If AMD stopped allowing people to advertise their CPUs with nforce boards (I don't even know if they can do that) it would kill their sales because very few people specifically want ATI, AMD, SIS, ULi or VIA chipsets... Pretty much any AMD user who knows what the chipset is and wants a specific one is looking for an nforce of some kind unless they have very specific needs (crossfire, AGP and PCI-E, etc). EDIT: The ad is still funny though. ![]()
