Question But does it?

Well, I was going to wait until the ruckus died down to ask...but WITHOUT the driver hack how do the benchmarks line up? (And just disregarding the Doom3 demo for now, just for the sake of argument.)

Which one is better; 5900 FX or 9800 Pro?

The 5900 FX is still a hell of a nice looking performing beast, just 'cause nVidia had a brainfart and did a totally idiotic thing doesn't make the card a POS. (Although I really doubt as many people will trust nVidia enough to spend HALF A GRAND on a video card. Shame on you nVidia! )

It's either self-flaggelation or an sadistic kind of invitation to slow torture...either way I'm game.

When the AI takes over I bet they will use ATi cards to render the matrix.

I'll second that.

My question is, what do companies become king of? Their own d|(kz.

Actually no.

My 9800pro has huge issues with Enter The Matrix. I am currently getting better fps with my Geforce3 i poped back in.

9800Pro
800x600 No AA no AF enbled 30fps maximum while fighting 10fps.

Geforce 3 Ti200
800x600 No AA no AF 50fps 40 fps fighting

Winner Radeon 9800PRO!!!!!!!!!!

Reason: While Enter The Matrix may be a 'GAME' it shoudlnt be used to judge video cards preformacne. ATi was BLINDSIDED by the release of Enter The Matrix, we did not say this game could be released. We did not have any time to ensure our drivers worked correctly with this game. This game, and all other 'games' should be ignored, they do not indicate 'real world' preformance of the Radeon series video cards.

Glowstick, I don't think he was talking about the game. Read what he said closely.
