I guess I just dont' see the importance of laser scanning. I've never driven the real track so I can tell the difference between a laser scanned track and one that isn't. Does a sim really need to exactly replicate every bump on the track?

Not a surprise, GT1 and GT3 never had anywhere many cars as GT5 has. In the past they've made a game for one platform with 300ish cars and then added cars and tracks to the next one. This time they're trying to do it all at once as well as adding a whole lot of new features.

The article states the Japan release date has been pushed back to the US/EU release date... BS, if that's the case I bet the US/EU date will be pushed back further. Maybe July/August if we're lucky.

Yes I think you are right. I was also expecting it to be Q4 TBH. But now they have just given a hint, that it will be released in Fall ... Although nothing is official as yet

Cam video but nice quality. Complete lap with Merc SLS AMG taken from Mercedes-Benz Museum

It is aracde or standard mode with some driver aids on I think. Rash driving but for most part he kept car on the track.
