Default Quadro FX 1000 ( NV30GL ) in production

Hey,

The following is NOT speculation. It's all based on sources ( yeah, that's rare for me, but it happens )

Sources reveal that the Quadro FX 1000 has entered production. No idea if it's beta/alpha/final production. But there *are* working samples, it seems. So nVidia certainly isn't sleeping.

Another interesting thing is that at least one Quadro FX model doesn't have the FX Flow cooler. So, if such a high-end card doesn't have it, it's pretty much a given the NV31/NV34 won't have FX Flow.

The following image is one of a Quadro FX 1000 ( no guarantee this is the final name ) , it was taken in mid-january.

I'll delete it if nVidia asks me to do so.

ooo ... aaaa..... now lets start the speculation on what it will hold over the geforceFX, quadro4 900 XGL... =o)

on a side note, maybe its assumed that this card will only be in high end workstations that the cases themselves will already be cooled enough, and not many high end workstations overclock their cards, so stability can be reached without the vacuum.

Our Quatro4 900 and 750s at work are not in specially cooled cases/rooms. They don't perform better than Geforce4 4600 in games either, only in apps like 3D Studio.
