If you have a Gigabyte X79-UD5 motherboard that want wake up when it goes into sleep mode, this is what fixed mine.I did not need to do anything to the BIOS,this is in windows.Go to the Device Manager click on network adapters and double click gigabyte network Connection then click on the Power management Tab and then uncheck the energy efficient ethernet box and hit OK.Now when my computer goes to sleep it will wake up normal just like it did with my gigabyte X58-UD5 Board.I have windows 7-64bit .I do not no if this will work on the Gigabyte G1.Assassin or the gigabyte X79-UD3,but it is a good chance it will.I have the F-10 Bios.
I found this on the tweaktown fourms.

I have the GA-X79-UD3. However, under "Network adapters" I only see one Intel device and not some GIGABYTE device. I don't see "GIGABYTE network connection."
