yeah the commentary nodes in EP1 touched on this once I think. The engine is being updated and consequently a bit more demanding on the hardware. I wold still assume though that ancient hardware could run the game fairly well at low settings.

I'll DL tonight.

To me the graphics almost look identical to EP 1. For them to take 1 year to put This out is BS! .. I have not played through the game yet and I am sure it will be fun, but screw them for taking so long for this!

Just my opinion

The only reason it took so long was because of the time needed to port it to 360. I'd bet large money this could have been released 8 month ago for PC.

OMG Portal...amazing, especially the last test and of course the song. LOL, funny, creative, best puzzle game ever and relates to HL universe but I have to work that out...

Does anyone know how to beat the skeletons in the game, I've run out of bullets and only have the gavity gun, its the part where they are flying around you in the later levels.

I have to say that I think the Source engine is really showing its age now.

Sure, it's fun to meet up with Alyx and all the rest, but essentially each level is a corridor with the impression of an outside World around it.

I used to mod for HL2, and the engine is great for corridors, caves, sewers and streets - anything bigger and the whole thing gets too hard.

I imagined the perfect EP2 to be more 'Stalker' like, with woods, forests and caves to explore and a much more open ended experience.

Unfortunately this is just another theme park ride.. It looks great the first time you ride it, but the more you ride it the more you realize it's just a ride.
