The IGN article said something that made me thing about the procrastination of Half-life 2. This game is three years old and we have just begun episode 2 “Today”. Three years to make 1 full game and 2 small additions just does not make sense to me.

I am not complaining just curious. In a business stand point wouldn’t it make since to get these episodes out a little faster?

Wouldn’t they have most of the designs, maps, and shaders from episode 1? It is not like they are starting from zero right?

I love half-life 2 and will be buying episode 2 tomorrow.

Hmm...this may be helpful to me. Maybe I can install steam on XP and point it to my steamApps folder on my vista partition. I get crashes with cinematic mod on vista. That's the main reason I haven't finished ep1.

I thought way back when Valve announced that they were going to do it by episode it would be every 6 months. Same thing with Sin but that didn't work out well. All in all it's here.

I'll be up most of tonight waiting to play Portal and Ep2. I'll be going for Portal first for sure. Those that haven't started steam in a while might want to start it up. I did a bit more preloading on portal. It is kind of nice how they can put out an update minuets before the game is technically gold or minuets after really. 1:24:40 to go.

Well since Atari can't get their sh!t straight with the digital download business, I guess I'll be playing Ep2 and Portal tonight instead of MotB. Either way its win/win for me

Wow, TF2 = a blast, and boy it looks good @ 1680x1050 8xMCAA 16xAF.

Can't wait for Portal, I hope this game will be the tetris of FPS games, just never ending! LoL
