Game Informer - Timeshift score 7.8 / 10

IGN - Timeshift score 7.6 / 10

MAXIM ONLINE - Timeshift score 3 \ 5 stars

It's not bad. Great graphics and a fast engine but nothing new really except the cool timeshift feature. High 7's to maybe low 8's seem like fair scores.

EDITED: Ok, after playing a little further into the game I'm having a blast. This is a great game and never gets boring. The timeshift feature is awesome and the game engine is very well tuned. So now I'd have to give it between an 8 and 8.5. It really is fun and frankly better than Jericho was.

But what about the gameplay?

It looks like it does nothing special, but still looks quite interesting and fun. Hmmm, hard decision...

generally the gameplay is nothing special... just your typical FPS but the time reversing and time stopping features are really nice... you have to use those to get past obstacles such as collapsing buildings and walking on water with electricity flowing through it

The time stuff looks as though it's done really well. I'm sure there will be a lot of fun (and videos) from it!

As I said in the other thread, the reviews are too harsh... This is a VERY well done FPS... it's nothing super-new, no, but it's extremely well done. I suggest it to all genre fans.

Great engine -better than FEAR engine , shadows maps, employ massive of paralax, high resolution detail textures , shaders efects like water and distorsions very nice , AA , AF ....and the perfomance is double or triple that in last FEAR Extraction Point . What is this engine ?

The game is FEAR Style , maybe the AI not is better than FEAR . And the game complete , maybe a bit boring , is a bit repetitive

EDIT/ 60 fps solid with Vsinc at 1080p , with some drop to 45 -50 , CSAA 8X and AF 16... , but well is a outdor game .

Hi,

I tried everything with no success in order to enable AA in Timeshift. So: how do you enable AA in this game using the Nvidia CP or Nhancer? Do I actually need a SLI System in order to use AA? Is there a trick?

Thanks.

Frank

I completely agree, this is a superb example of an fps shooter that was made correctly. While it does very little new,the engine is very good and textures are extremely crisp and the colors are bright and vivid.Gameplay is typical, baddies aorund the corner....above....behind etc.The first robotic creature I ran into took up the WHOLE F'ING SCREEN....ala painkiller bosses.5.1 surround works flawlessly.Sierra have consistently produced quality games and this one deserves a look from fps gamers. The reviews should read 9/10,superb work, but alas nothing new.$39.99 is fair(which is what I paid)
