Default Select sync display device for XV

Hi all!

I'm using an Nvidia 8600 card with TwinView, and have 2 monitors connected: an LCD TV via DVI-to-HDMI cable (identified as DFP-1), and an LCD monitor via D-SUB (identified as CRT-0). The problem is that XV is synced to the monitor connected via D-SUB, which produces an ugly page-tearing effect when they're played on the TV screen. I found out about __GL_SYNC_DISPLAY_DEVICE env variable, which allows to choose what display to sync OpenGL with. So now when I use OpenGL video output, no page tearing occures. However, XV video output has a better video quality. Is there any way to tell the card to sync XV with my TV instead of the monitor?

Please see the 'Sync to VBlank on display device' setting on the nvidia-settings 'X Server XVideo Settings' page.

Well, there is no such option (as seen on the screenshot) - and I remember it was there in some earlier version. Maybe there's a config file somewhere that can be edited manually?

BTW, I'm using nvidia-drivers-100.14.19
