Hi,
I have a 8500GT running a P35 motherboard with latest BIOS, Q6600 quad core and 2GB RAM. I'm having trouble setting the desired screen resolution - driving my Samsung monitor at 1920x1200 everything is ok. However I also wish to driver my Sharp LC45-GD7U at 1080p. To date I'm yet to find any driver which permits me to select 1080p either via DVI or HDMI into the Sharp. I suspect the driver is in auto-select mode and the EDID information is not working correctly. I don't have this problem running the exact same set up under Vista - I can select whatever resolution I like for a given display. Is there somewhat I can accomplish the same under Linux ? Thanks |
