This issue has been resolved and the fix will be present in our next driver release.

Any hint when we can expect that release? I just can't wait to test compiz with full speed (without --indirect-rendering)

Using 169.04, problem is still here eating over a gig in under a day of use, both on my t61p (quadro 570m) and my desktop (8800 gts).

I am using kubuntu Gutsy with compiz 0.6.1 running with AIGLX (100.14.19). "man compiz.real" states that --indirect-rendering and --strict-binding options should be used together with AIGLX. After using these options memory consumption of compiz stays constant and I cannot observe any slowdown.
