Can you post the settings at which these screens were taken? I just not sure what you're trying to prove here. Those DX10 screens are obviously not 'very high' on everything.

I'm sorry but there is some thing wrong with that lighting in thoes pics. Its too brite and vivid as if high shades wernt being used. Maybe its the tweaks that are forcing th shaders down or some thting...

Dude no offense but you are agravating as hell and very hard to please. Your one of those people that wouldnt believe it if it slapped the living ^&%$&^$% outta you

I am using the ini tweaks for DX9 which turns the water and the textures to very high settings! all other settings are at high!

DX10 is the same way, I am using the same settings.

You can lower the gloves a little. I don't think he's trying to prove that DX9 is superior to DX10 or anything--just show that a lot of the DX10 effects are capable of duplicating.

There is no use for anyone to turn everything on "very high" at this point unless they have the entire Nvidia Headquarters G80 stock all SLI'd together. The game crawls with shaders at Very High as I've been trying to tell guys for the past two days now. That setting is the skeleton key that will unlock decent performance in DX10.

On a side note: It's interesting that there actually is a little more detail in the mountains on 64-bit. I wonder what else, if anything, they added more detail to on the 64-bit path.

Look, we all know you're the saviour for crysis performance. But it just doesn't look right. Parallax Occlusion mapping isn't even on in your DX10 or DX9 shots. Lets see some shots of the water. I don't think you can get those ripple effects unless you have very high shaders on.

Forgive me for being a little slow, but can someone tell me where I put all that .ini text? I'm not using it yet, but I will be once my new GFX card arrives, so it's just for future ref.

Cheers,
russ

You are a complete and utter moron and im not even gonna waste my time on you.

The shader setting has absolutely nothing to do with the ripple effect on the water. That difference is found between high and very high on the water settings itself.

Enjoy em guys, im not wasting my time around here anymore with you complainers and nay sayers who still want to argue with the evidence that stairs you directly in the face even with a Frame counter to boot! Because your not gonna be satisfied regardless of what I do, it still will not be enough.

I will be enjoying Crysis in either DX10 or DX9 because my machine runs them both beutifully. To those who enjoyed the shots have fun and peace out!

Look I just wanted to know what the intentions with those screenshots comparisons. So as I've understood it now you basically prove that a few DX10 features are possible in DX9, and that's cool, it's just what that french blogger did some time ago (http://blogs.nofrag.com/Scrapy/#article32013), so I'm already convinced about that. I don't mean any offense, I just think it would make more sense to compare the maxed and tweaked DX9 to the full maxed out DX10.

And I do agree that the tweaked DX9 is probaby the best all-around solution now, solely because of the horrible DX10 mouselag.

I'm guessing this issue is a bug of some kind. Why should the 64 version look any better?

Parallax Occlusion is a part of the very high shader. Why the hell would anyone run the shaders at that spec at this point on the current hardware? Do you enjoy playing through the game with framerates the speed of your average photo album? I think his display applies more to the masses than what you're suggesting he do. There isn't a user out there at this point that can run the very high shader spec in DX10 at a decent framerate. It's too taxing on the current hardware.

I've asked twice now in this thread, don't bother trying to get an answer *hint*

Its cool man, sorry for getting worked up. Its just that it takes a lot of damn time and work to post these pics and then still have people to doubt my credibility after all the hard work.

Have fun with crysis bro and good luck.
