Widescreen Support needed for 8600 GTS

Processor: AMD Opteron 1212 2x1MB L2 @ 2.6GHz
Motherboard: socketAM2 MSI K9n Neo/Nvidia nforce 550 chipset
Distribution: OpenSuSE 10.3 (Default Kernel)
Monitor: Dell W1700LCDTV (17" wide screen Flat panel)
NVidia Driver Version: 100.14.19
Resolution: 1280x768

I am having issues getting my display resolution to work when I enable the Nvidia Driver. The display area is larger than the screen (Left most portion of screen is not viewable) I've tried several different settings in both SAX and the NVIDIA X Server and nothing seems to work.

I've been poking around the web and from what I gather the problem has something to do with the edid setting. if I disable UseEDID then my resolution is max 640x480
