EDIT: Woops... just realized this is the "SLI" performance thread. Oh well. This is a general comment on performance... no SLI here.

I'm really impressed with how well this runs on a system I put together for a friend.

Athlon X2 4200+ (2.2Ghz, socket 939)
DFI Nforce 4 Ultra board
MSI 7900GT 256Mb
1Gb PC-3200 (will be 2Gb when the other 2 sticks arrive)
Windows XP Home

I installed the demo and it auto-configures to medium quality at 1024x768. At those settings it runs almost as good as the full version does on my system with high\very high tweaks in dx9 mode.

Very playable and looks awesome. A few blurry textures here and there, but it s still probably the best looking game this system could run. It has all of the projected shadows, breakable trees, physics, most of the shader and lighting effects etc...

This isn't even the full version. I'm completely impressed. My friend is getting a hell of a PC for $475.

Well done Crytek.

That's way too hot! My 8800 GTX never hits 60c FFS!

It would seem SLI is working 100% with SP1 RC and new 169.25 drivers.

Running one GT

Running GT's in SLI (more than double FPS!)

Didn't think it was possible but yes, 14.8FPS with one card and 32.8 FPS with two cards. These shot are running textures, objects, shaders and shadows on ultra high . Oh yeah, and DX10 is now perfect

Just got myself another 8800GT ! (Should I say lucked out and found one)..

New to this whole SLI thing..

So far, I'm super impressed. Only tried Crysis in XP so far but the FPS is SO much more consistent, I'm in love..

I'll report back with some Vista SLI #'s.

Any figures on SLI performance improvements with the new 1.1 patch?

It terrible lags Vista64 + SLI + DX10 or DX9. Nvidia never fixed the lag. I'm talking about retail version without any tweaks. I guess frames are better, but just because it lags it makes it unplayable.

I must assume there is nearly no SLI gains with this patch according to the massive recent posts in this thread.

I wouldnt say that at all. While the built in bench and the Crysis benchmark tool showed no increase, playing the game I made some random saves and took some screens with and without SLi. SLi after the patch is a mixed bag, there is some good scaleing and then there are places where their is no scaleing.

1600x1200 NoAA In Game Settings High. XP FW169.28.
Fair to very good scaleing
