Nice thx for the benchies - im gonna try my 8800GT with the new drivers and see what i get
Edit: OK just tried my evga 8800GT SC and got 31.88fps average at 1680x1050 w/ everything @ high. Looks like the GT is really up there with the GTX in this game - I'm sure I could push an extra frame or 2 by overclocking, but there's probably not much point ![]() |

Can you or someone get into the game at a savepoint and compare the FPS between the new drivers and the old ones? I only have the demo at this moment so I am unsure if what I test will be indicative of the full game or not. |

In the Full version of Crysis the 64bit exe is named crysis64.exe, Forceware drivers 169.09 do not have that in the profile.
You need to add 'crysis64.exe' to Nvapps profile, use nhancer or rename the exe (whatever you prefer) to enable SLi for 64bit.

Well I tested the new 169.09 drivers on the demo and noticed a decent increase in frame rates, probably in the 50% range, using SLI. In DX10 I am seeing minimal gains - maybe a couple FPS at best. It looks like I can play this game with the tweaked DX9 autoexec.cfg file at my native resolution, especially if the actual retail game runs better than the demo.

I don't understand how SLI can be a game programming problem. I thought SLI splits up the rendering load between both cards then puts the image back together to one output and should be near 2x the speed.
This only 45% gain stuff just doesn't make sense to me.

Can we sticky this for now, to keep the SLI data coming in?

Well I'm no tech expert and I don't know how to show results graphs, or what have you, but I can relate my experience.
I tried Crysis 32 bit vista dx10 and disabled SLI and used only one of my 8800 Ultra. And so far, it's almost the same in performance, tho it chugs slightly more overall, can't say the exact FPS, but not as much as I had expected. Just from what I see, I think SLI in this game needs a bit more work. I'm hoping new driverse or a patch will fix this issue. Frankly, I'm glad I got these results from playing with a single card. It only goes to show that Crysis will look even better once SLI is a lot more beneficial.

Finished the game with Partial DX9 tweak, Quad 3.6, Dual GTX's 648/1620 overclocked. Held up nicely during everything. Anything higher, and it's just unplayable later in the game. Sweet.
