Anyone read the PC Gamer Crysis article (98%) Does it reveal if performance improved?

I keep seeing references to PC Gamer early review of Crysis in forum posts. I'm glad to see that it scores so high (I've played demo 5 times thru and love it)

. But has anyone actually read this article. With a score of 98%, that they say something about performance improvements in the final build that are not present in the demo. It would give me hope to think the retail version would have addressed alot of the performance issues, and I might actually be able to play it with descent FPS on my quad cores / 8800GTX PC.

If it has in fact gone gold (I didn't bother checking), I would doubt there would be any optimizations at this point.

Those of us that were playing the beta told you that back then it was a new build. Many of you hoped that the demo would run faster. The demo came and run almost like the beta. The demo build is almost the final build (as it was made on the 12th of October (or somewhere there)). So the final version won't run better, hell it won't even support SLI out of the box. Crytek will release shortly a patch that will add SLI support for it. So don't expect miracles

We'll if that's the case and the game is pretty much the way it will be at release, that is disappointing, but I can live at playing this with 1280 x 800 resolution at 20 fps.

So be it.

Then I guess you need to buy a new computer. PC dont hold forever, its like saying damn I cant play playstation 3 games on my playstation 2.

I'll take the performane hit for now and pick it up on the 14th at EB...

This month is just nuts for the wallet,CRYSIS for 68$ in two weeks,HGL x2 112$,Jericho yesterday for 57 bucks,Strangehold a few weeks ago for 58$,370 bucks for a Lian Li PC777B yesterday.And come January,it'll be Q9300 + Abit IP35 + eVGA 8800GT Ssc Edition 700/1750/2000,with the sexy blue pcb.With a wife who likes to game @ 16x10 this is getting $$$.

no it didnt, soon as you add online play into the mix your fps is gonna be like the mp demo

In an interview they stated they had fixed the missile launcher in the beta but due to getting the game out they couldn't fit it in the final build. That was over a week ago. They said it would come out in a patch so I wouldn't get your hopes up about a performance increase.
