I was tempted 2 months ago to purchase a XBOX HD-DVD and a pioneer blu ray drive.
I was put of with word that a combo drive was coming out. Still no sign of one. Where the hell are they? |

Well they were available last month but it was all sold out fast in 1 day, it impossible to get hold on either GGC-H20L and GGW-H20L because it are so cheap. I found 3 stockists on Froogle UK overpriced for GGC-H20L, Span listed GGC-H20L for £165.67 inc VAT and affordable Blu-ray writer HD-DVD combo GGW-H20L for £210.32, around the same price I paid for first CD writer long time ago but either are still not available.

Thats £232 for both of them, with the added bonus of one being portable. Im tempted just to sod it and buy them. I cant keep waiting on the never never over a triffling £30. will contemplate. I would rather wait to get GGW-H20L for £193.83 or less if I can find one when they available, it got ability to write Blu-ray, CD, DVD as well as read HD-DVD for only £41.03 extra than £152.80 GGC-H20L.

GGW-H20L = 403.139 USD (£193.83)
that a good price. Amazing how much price changed. Pioneer still trying to sell an 4x burner that they just released for 600. Phillips/Lite-on and sony 2x burners still going for around $500. if new 6x burner cost 400, thse 2x burners should cost about 150 now.

reader is out now, not that hard to find.
writer is also out now in few markets, but at most stores is sold out, because of the super low price.
