I did a quick comparison to my 8800GT today with this:
DX10 1024x768 No AA/AF All Very High Settings AVG FPS = 60FPS Once I changed the res to 1366x768, it dropped down to about 30FPS on average. But I did not play through the entire demo. My card is having some heat issues so I'm trying to get them taken care of first. EDIT - I'm sofa king we todd ed. ![]() |

I just ran the GPU benchmark at those settings and came up with the following (this is with shaders at High too): Min fps: 25.14 Avg fps: 47.46 Max fps: 58.98 Unless you overclocked the hell out of that card, there's no way you beat my GTX by THAT much... ![]()

But still, every benchmark I've read so far has the 8800GT lagging the GTX by 5-10 fps... so what gives?

I had my Q6600 at default of 2.4gigs and the memory was set at 533
and running with everthing set to high settings and no FSAA and running it at 1360x768 CPU _____________ GPU min-22.68___________ min-15.75 avg-41.82___________ avg-39.15 max-54.15___________ max-64.65 and running at 1920x1200 with no FSAA and the same default Q6600 at 2.4g CPU____________ GPU min-20.50__________ min-14.76 avg-35.15__________avg-35.55 max-50.25__________max-45.25 So I don't get that big of a difference ,if I run it at a lower resolution or running it at a high resolution, but it looks a lot better at 1920 x 1200.This is windows XP

My bad guys, I'm just retarded.
Anywho, I'll run some more benchies tomorrow morning (hanging with the fiancee tonight) and give you better results. But from what I remember, DX10, very high on all, 1024x768 - it was 50 or 60 something on AVG. Not sure exactly what number it was.Yes, I did get a 8800GT yesterday and I will be reviewing it for NVNews. Gotta run some tests this weekend and then wait for CoD4 next week. ![]() |
