Problems with Linux Mint 4, and nvidia driver crash

Hi,

I have a serius problem on my newly installed computer( Iv just installed Linux Mint 4), And when it first started up, with nv driver, it would last for beetwen 15sec and 2 min before the computer would freeze, when enabling the nvidia driver, it would revert me back to the vesa driver....


And I have no idea what is wrong, any help would be greatly apreciated

(Linux Mint is a 100% compatible Ubuntu Clone(Gipsy), but with all the codecs and similar pre installed)
