So you can enable AA, it only works in dx10.

Correction, it only works in the DX10 "On/Antialiasing" mode, and only at 4X AA at that. The DX10 "On" option however AA will not work, and there is a large perf drop and no IQ improvements.

Seems this review was pretty far off base.

The numbers I'm seeing in screenshots online and the fact that you can use the Obliivon AA setting in Dx9 pretty much are the exact opposite of what the review says.

hmmmm

No AA

AA 4x with Nhancer and antialeasing compatibility for Oblivion

32 x S combined - 2x2 supersampling with 8x multisampling- with the Nhancer and antialeasing compatibility for Oblivion

Under DX9

Do you need to use nhancer or is it enough to rename the .exe into oblivion.exe and force the AA level in the driver? TIA!

I was going with what was officially supported in the game, no hacks or tricks or editting of config files, it was an out of box experience.

True. It might be worth a mention in the article that it is posible though (at least with Nvidia hardware).
