Well despite being infected with Live I've had a stellar time with the SP so far. Lots of great action and it doesn't go easy on you at all on Med difficulty. FOV command is working fine here. I'm running 163.69 in Vista-32 2048x1536 is playable but 1600x1200 is allot smoother, I don't think my CPU can keep up with the demand of 2048.
My CPU as with all other UE3 games is pegged at 100% almost all the time. I think it's actually heating up my Proc so much I'm seeing some stutters after a few hours. I was planning on just using this torrent because of the live infection but the SP in itself is worth it and Epic deserves the money even though I will never touch the MP, so I'll be picking up a retail copy tonight.
Fraps doesn't seem to capture the FPS overlay, these were all at about 45-60fps, Default post processing I think, DX10-AA On.

thats what scare me, if enough people will be buying more and more games with that god damn live build in, more and more games with it will be released. If thats the case, this will not turn out well.

Yeah, I agree. I can only hope they monitor how often I actually play MP and I'm pretty sure they will, along with monitoring my SP habits and see I will never touch mp. I just have to buy it for the SP alone for Epic but I'm right there with you in opinion of this Live crap. It's like if Gamespy said. Gamespy has an announcement, you will now be required to pay for a Gamespy account for all MP gamespy games.

Runs great here, almost constant 62fps @ 1920*1200 with 8800GTX in XP, probably the best port ever as it plays better with mouse and keyboard, looks better, runs better, and sounds better.

Also, I played it on the 360 but it's definintely worth another play I think.

I was looking in here to see if anyone had this issue too and here you are. I thought it was just me. Mine is installing right now and it is nearing 30 minutes!! (About done though)

Runs great here, first impression was disappointing with the 360 play buttons, the green a and red b button references made me belive it wasnt very optimized for pc but after getting used to the odd over the shoulder thing i like it.

This game is simply beautiful looking after doing some tweaking. When I first fired it up, it was almost depressing looking as everything was crud brown, blurry, and burnt out in certain areas. After turning down post processing to low, and using the default post processing scheme, things now look incredible. Textures are razor sharp, the game runs more fluid, the colors are more vibrant, and it the lighting looks much more natural. I wish there was a way to take ingame screenshots, because running the game like this makes it look almost pre-rendered. I can't figure out why high detail mode defaults to turning on the over the top post processing effects. Whats the point of buying an expensive monitor if the game is only going to blur things and reduce contrast? Turning post processing to low totally changes the way the game looks, and I recommend you guys at least give it a try. I am 1920x1200 with 4xAA with super sampled AA and the game is very fluid and looks incredible, even better than Lost Planet or Bioshock. Trust me, the sceens posted so far do not do this game justice.

its like Crysis or S.T.A.L.K.E.R, you have to see it in motion to really appreciate it
