Here you go. These are the scaled down from the original 1920 x 1200 fraps screengrabs to a more monitor friendly 800 x 500. If you guys would like to see the original BMP files, I can post them as well in the screenshots forum. Running 1920 x 1200 with 4xAA and supersampling I am averaging about 42 - 45 FPS under Win XP / DX 9. These are with everything cranked detail wise, but post processing quality turned to low. As far as I can, medium and high post processing adds in the browning filter, blur, and burn effects, and also seems to make the textures look a lot worse. Settings post processing to low the textures are sharp, the contrast nice, and it just looks much better IMHO.

Oh wow, low post processing does look nice, i'll have to try it. Perfect excuse to load the game back up . Really enjoying the game, been playing coop thru the single player with a friend. Also having fun with the versus multiplayer, but I'm pretty bad at it lol.

Hey Tim Sorry about the delay in getting back to you about this

Anyhows Extreme Content off sets sparks to where there was once blood

I Had a poke throught some of the config files both in the mygames folder & in the WarGame\Config folder and found an entery for

LanguageFilter=

so it looks like they were going to add a filter but it seems it never made it in to the menus, bad news for you is that it looks like the exe if CRC checking these config files because as soon as i make any changes to them GOW refuses to start so there doesnt seem to be a way to turn it on...Again sorry about the delay in checking this stuff out for you but i hope this helps

Agreed. Your screens look much better than all the others I've seen so far. Sharp and clear. Still a bit colorless but I may have to buy this game now.

Each to their own, I guess. I just know that I didn't pay $1300 for a high definition LCD monitor to play games that include post processing that make it seem like I am playing then on a twenty year old CRT television. I guess I am just not a fan of some of the bloom / blur effects in these newer titles.

+1

I like the cleaner and sharper look of the screenshots, however I would like to see the actual size, uncompressed screenshots as well, if you (loafer87gt) can upload them to rapidshare or some other file hosting site I would really appreciate it.
