I just played some multiplayer. It was a blast! The only thing I didn't like about it was that I kept getting an almost constant Frame stutter. Even though I was pushing between 45-60 fps, the game felt pretty jerky to me.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Some of the scenes look like they could belong in the STALKER world.

When you get the perks, playing multiplayer, are they permanent or do they reset after every match??

You choose a custom class profile and the perks are permanent for each round. Once the round is over, then you can change things.

Dude this game is bad..ass. Ok.. its short... but this is one of those experience games. The visuals are all top notch (I was able to find a few things to nitpick, but not damn many!) and that combined with the script..steller model animation which was pretty flawless all the way around makes for an amazing experience. Also not since C&C's installation sequence has such visual flair and smoothness been applied to level transitions.

I think my game of the year award still goes to crysis (omg..unreal 3 coming in 3rd? if you told me this a year ago I would never have belived it) but damn... cod4 is an easy 2nd.

BTW anyone else try turning the AA off? I didn't like the fps in a few areas (the misty ponds were pretty bad) but turning the AA off caused the display to have a corrupted orange/gold color cycling. I think we just found the first that that DOSNT work with AA turned OFF!

I can see complaining about the obvious spawn triggers, but except for a few situations there is not endless enemies throughout the game.

Anyway, I beat it on hardened this morning... EXCELLENT game, a 10 out of 10... makes you feel like you're in combat more than any game I've ever played.
One example of endless enemies is in the TV station bottom floor. They just keep coming out of nowhere unless you move forward along the flanking route. and I'm pretty sure the enemies are spawning in closed off rooms.

was a pretty cool little bit of plot actually that level :-)

I am debating getting this game... simply because with everything else coming out I am not sure how much play time I will actually get out of this before moving on...

After sitting at my desk all day with the box staring at me, i finally got home and installed it. Got an hour or two of play before i had to turn off the PC. Awesome so far, the AC-130 mission was incredible. Haven't tried MP yet. The game runs super smooth for me with everything as high as it will go. Only criticism is the endlessly spawning enemies. I like to try and take me time through missions, especially if i know the game is short, but because there is always someone shooting at you - that isn't really too much of an option.

After playing the game for about 4 hours today (some MP, some SP), I can honestly say that I'm bored... I don't know why, but I can sit down and play TF2 and other titles just fine for 5+ hours. COD4 just doesn't seem to do that to me

I'm a little disappointed. The game almost feels too real, and because of that, it's a turn off.
